frame
handcrafted by skilled upholsterers in basically a custom made environment, our frames are made to last a lifetime. kiln dried wood frames are hand assembled and designed by us to be exceptionally strong.

all our sofa frames are reinforced with horizontal plywood panels between seats and around the outer frame to retain shape, squareness and structure. all frames are corner-blocked, stapled and glued which is essential to building a strong frame.

the plywood we use is graded e1, this is the second highest grade and meets or exceeds emissions for almost every market except california

suspension
our contemporary upholstered designs lend themselves to a more modern approach of construction and suspension, thus we use elastic interwoven belting, also known as webbing on almost all our frames. it is extremely resilient and strong yet allows our designers to create a much sleeker designs than those requiring space for springs. the ?sit? is usually a fraction firmer than a sprung seat but just as durable.

cushions
we use a cfc free high density polyurethane foam, we keep dacron fill to a minimum as this fill will really reduce the longevity of the cushions. this may make our seating feel a little firmer than most initially but with time it will ?break in? a little.
